This is our most popular trekking program because you experience the Khumbu Region at its finest in a short period of time. The ultimate aim of this trail is to reach the base camp of the Majestic Ama Dablam. On your way up, enjoy the excursions from each of the four lodges you will be staying at. We take pride in the fascinating culture and tradition of the Khumbu people, and you can witness and immerse yourself in it firsthand. Enjoy the panoramic views, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy a truly wonderful experience. The maximum trekking altitude is 4,576 m/15,013 ft, and it will be a total of 13 nights and 14 days, with 9 days on the trek. Throughout this trek, you will be accompanied by a senior English-speaking mountain guide with at least a decade of experience in this region.

Day 1
Arrival at KATHMANDU, transfer to Hotel
Our guide will be ready to welcome guests and transport them to their chosen hotel. In the evening, they will be debriefed by their assigned guide for the adventurous days to come.

Drive to Manthali
The morning grants guests free time to explore the vicinity. In the afternoon, guests set off on a scenic bus ride (100 km/4 hours) to Mulkot, a small town resting alongside the rushing Sunkosi River.

Day 3
Drive to Ramechhap, Fly to Lukla (2,743 m/ 9,000 ft ) and trek to Phakding (2652 m/8530 ft)
Early in the morning, guests are driven (35 km/1 hour) to Ramechhap airport (1370 m) and taken on a scenic flight to Lukla (2800 m, 9,190 feet). Porters or pack animals will take charge of your luggage, and the trek to Phakding (2600 m/ 8,530 ft) will begin. Guests can drop by local houses and interact with locals.

Day 4
Trek to Monjo (2800 m/ 9200 ft)
After a relaxed breakfast, guests will start their trek through forests, serene clearings, and always beside the Dudh Kosi, or in English, “Milk River”. The day passes by, with small hamlets along the way through the forest. The hike will be 4 and a half hours long, and guests will have time for a five-hour break. Guests can visit the first judo dojo as well as the monastery. ‘Judo Dojo’ literally means a place where one learns and practices Judo. In simple terms, it is a place where one evolves not only physically but philosophically as well as mentally. It is the world’s highest ‘Judo Dojo’. It was founded by one of our guides, Kazi Sherpa. An evening meeting with five-time Everest Summiteer Nga Temba Sherpa can be a great learning experience.

Day 5
Trek to Namche Bazaar

Day 6
Trek to Tashinga
Today guests will walk over the ridge of Namche and pass the Khumjung-Kunde Sherpa settlement, known for its spectacular views of Kongde Ri. At 3,933 meters, an observation point provides breathtaking vistas of the Khumbu region’s towering peaks, including Lhotse and Mount Everest. Descending through fir and juniper forests, guests pass through scenic clearings with the impressive backdrops of Taboche, Thamserku, and Kang Taiga. Along the way, guests may spot the elusive “Thar” and the national bird of Nepal, the pheasant. Guests can visit Sagarmatha Next Centre as well as the Edmund Hillary School in Khumjung.

Day 7
Trek to Tengboche Monastery and return to Tashinga
Guests begin by descending to Phunki Tenga (3250 m), where a bridge adorned with prayer flags marks their path. They then follow an ancient pilgrimage route through lush rhododendron forests, arriving at the renowned Tengboche Monastery (3870 m) in just three and a half hours. After exploring the monastery complex and possibly witnessing a monk ceremony, lunch with breathtaking views of Everest and Lhotse awaits. In spring, the rhododendrons paint the mountains in vibrant colors. Guided by the mountain guide, guests return to their lodge.

Day 8
Trek to Monjo
Guests descend to Monjo, with a stopover in the bustling Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, which will appear larger and livelier upon their return. They once again cross the Hillary Bridge, adorned with countless prayer flags, and follow the “milk river,” Dudh Kosi, out of the national park. The walking time remains comfortable; even today, more time is allocated for the journey, estimated at a leisurely six hours, with most of the trek being downhill.

Day 9
Trek to Phakding
Today, guests will take a detour to view the monastery at Gumila above Phakding. Within the monastery reside 12–15 monks from the Gelukpa Sect; it is also a Buddhist teaching monastery. It takes about 30-45 minutes to reach the monastery from the main trekking route. From here, guests will retrace the steps back to Phakding

Day 10
Trek to Lukla
The final stage of this trek leads guests to Lukla (2800 m). Today we take a diversion on the other side of the Dudh Koshi River through the village of Tserema, visiting small villages and getting a chance to interact with the locals. The trail meets up at Thada Koshi. Here, tea houses welcome them to take a well-deserved break. The path ascends once more, and the trek concludes at a relaxed and leisurely pace. The lodge in Lukla offers its usual excellent service and hearty Himalayan cuisine.

Flight to Ramechap; Drive to Kathmandu
Our flight transports us back to Ramechap, where we embark on a scenic bus journey (135 km/5-6 hours) back to Kathmandu. In the afternoon, guests will explore Kathmandu at their leisure.

Half-Day Sightseeing
Time today to relax, reflect on your adventures, and complete any sightseeing and last-minute shopping. In the morning, there is a half-day guided sightseeing tour. Guests will visit Boudnath Stupa and then Pashupatinath Temple. The afternoon is at your leisure.
