Our Lodges
En Route to Everest
Our concept, since inception in 2002, is to stay authentic and respectful to the culture of Khumbu. We remain steadfast in using Sherpa architecture, use solar power panels to heat up about 80% of hot water... Building materials for each of the five lodges had to be flown over from Kathmandu to Lukla, and transported up using porters; a true feat of human perseverance. With this in mind, and altitude starting at 2,860 metres (9,400 feet), even the small everyday amenities in the city, like a warm shower, and warm beds, is a luxury in the mountains of Nepal. Our rooms are all ensuite, each property has a beautiful large dining room for the whole trekking team to congregate in, and our gardens are meticulously well planted with organic produce and wild mountain flowers.
