Perched at almost 3.900m. high above the Thame Valley, the Everest Summit Lodge at Mende offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains like Kongde Ri, Thamserku, Kang Taiga, Kusum Kanguru and Khumbila. Our lodge in Mende is located just off the main trail between Namche Bazaar and Thame. THINGS TO DO

Yaks graze around the traditional Sherpa villages that is located just behind the lodge. People are living the life in the same way they have been doing for centuries and you really feel that you are off the beaten track.

From Mende, you can go on an excursion to Thame at 3.800m. Walking on a small path that contours above the much larger villages, you connect to the Tibetan trade route to the village of Thame. At Thame you climb up to the over 600 year old monastery at 3.940. One of the oldest monasteries in the Sherpa region.

“Amazing views”

Having used Everest Summit Lodges all the way up to Khumbu valley this was our last one on the way home.As with all Everest Summit Lodges we were greeted by wonderful, happy smiling staff with a hot drink and cake.... Our room was top standard with clean showers and warm beds. Food was very good plentiful and tasty
